Help with your inbox
Someone set up an inbox on your website and gave you access. Here’s what it is and how to use it.
What it is
Every time somebody fills in one of the forms on your website, it’s saved in the inbox as an enquiry, whether or not the email notification reached you. The inbox is the permanent record. Nothing on it depends on email.
Your inbox may be called Leads, Contacts or Enquiries, depending on how it was set up. These pages say enquiries.
Why it was set up
Two things go wrong with contact forms. The business doesn’t hear about a new enquiry quickly enough, and the enquiry lands in one person’s email where nobody else can see it. The inbox puts every enquiry where everyone who should have access can see it, and a text alert tells the right people the moment one arrives.
